The collection was officially launched on Friday, 4 September 2026, at the KANA Furniture Experience Store in Kemang, Jakarta. Embracing a timeless, refined, and relevant concept, Heritage Home brings together historical and architectural references through a Mid-Century Modern approach.
The result is a collection of furniture with a classic character that remains relevant to the needs of contemporary living.
When History Meets Mid-Century Modern
The inspiration for Heritage Home comes from Indonesian colonial history and Palazzo Italia architecture. Both are translated through a Mid-Century Modern approach that emphasizes simple forms, balanced proportions, and functionality.
KANA Furniture uses a range of materials, including premium solid wood, marble, antique gold brass, and fine rattan weaving or rattan webbing.
The combination of these materials gives each piece its own character. Rattan brings a tropical and colonial atmosphere, while marble and brass accents add an elegant classic touch.
Each piece of furniture is designed for spacious interiors while remaining easy to pair with other KANA collections. Users can also mix and match the pieces according to their desired interior character.
From the Living Room to the Bedroom
Heritage Home covers a range of furniture needs, from living and dining areas to personal spaces.
In the living area, the Sofa Florentine draws inspiration from classic Italian forms with a more modern appearance. The Sofa Praja and Lounge Chair Nyantai introduce rattan accents that bring a colonial feel to the space.
Meanwhile, the Sideboard Salvatore features carved wood details in a checkerboard pattern inspired by the façades of palazzo buildings. Coffee Table 25 combines white Carrara marble, wood, and brass accents, while Console Table Pio features stepped legs reminiscent of rosary beads.
For the dining area, there is the Meja Makan Mengku, featuring a white Carrara marble surface inspired by the foyer of a colonial home. Meja Makan Pietro takes a different approach with organic-shaped legs resembling tree branches, influenced by Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
The dining area is also complemented by dining chair Chiara, available with fabric or rattan backrests, as well as Counterstool Balai.
For private corners, workspaces, and bedrooms, the collection includes Bed 3.0 with a warm Scandi-modern approach, the round Nakas Notte, as well as the working desk Sartika, lounge chair R.A., and square coffee table Teuku.
The name Teuku was given as a tribute to an Indonesian national hero, adding another layer of meaning to the piece.
Bringing History into the Home
For Hidajat Endramukti, Heritage Home is an effort to bring memory and history into everyday life through furniture design.
"The process of designing Heritage Home with KANA has been a journey of celebrating memory and history. We wanted to create furniture that is not only visually beautiful, but also brings stories, character, and timeless warmth into every corner of the home," said Hidajat Endramukti.
This approach is in line with the character of Endramukti Design, which combines modern architecture with ethnic elements, historical artefacts, and classical aesthetics. Established in Surabaya in 1991, Endramukti Design has worked on a wide range of residential, commercial, and hospitality projects for more than three decades.
This collaboration also continues KANA Furniture's efforts to introduce products created in collaboration with Indonesian designers and creative figures.
Through Heritage Home, elements from the past receive a new interpretation in the form of furniture designed for contemporary living. The collection brings history, materials, and function together, translating them into a range of furniture designed to complement different spaces within the home.
