IndoBuildTech Expo 2025 Officially Opens: Celebrating the Synergy of Innovation, Design, and the Future of Construction Over Five Days

The IndoBuildTech Expo (IBT) 2025 has officially begun. Held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD-City, Tangerang, the largest exhibition for building materials, architecture, and interior industries in Indonesia opened on July 2, 2025, and will run until July 6, 2025.
The opening ceremony was officially inaugurated by Yudha Mediawan, representing the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, accompanied by Ministry of Transportation representative Masyud, as well as prominent figures from the architecture and engineering sectors, including Pierre A. Pongai, Chairman of IAI Banten, and Dr.-Ing. Ilham Akbar Habibie, Chairman of the Indonesian Engineers Association.
In his remarks, Ilham Habibie emphasized the importance of technological innovation and sustainable development as the foundation for transforming Indonesia’s construction industry. He noted that the expo is more than just an exhibition, but a strategic platform for accelerating the sector’s progress toward a smarter and more globally competitive future.
Pierre A. Pongai added that cross-disciplinary collaboration is key to creating architecture that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional and contextual. IndoBuildTech serves as an ideal platform for exchanging ideas and strengthening professional networks.
As the organizer, Rafidi Iqra, Director of PT Debindo-ITE, expressed his deep appreciation for the presence of the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure Affairs, along with ministers responsible for infrastructure development and regional affairs. Their presence represents tangible support for the strategic role of IndoBuildTech, which has been held annually as part of ongoing efforts to accelerate development and advance Indonesia’s construction services sector sustainably.

This year, more than 550 leading brands from Indonesia and abroad filled the halls of ICE BSD under IBT 2025’s theme, The Home of World Class Brands. Names such as Dekkson, Kohler, Taco, Hellenoz, YKK AP, and Paloma showcased their latest product innovations supporting the growing trend toward sustainable construction.
The exhibition also serves as a meeting point for industry professionals, consumers, and the design community, offering practical solutions, partnerships, and tangible market opportunities.

Beyond product showcases, IBT Expo also features more than 100 business program sessions held across five days, including three main events: the IndoBuildTech Architecture Prize, an award celebrating visionary architectural works; the IndoBuildTech Awards, recognizing outstanding exhibitors; and NAIFEST, an architectural installation that sparks dialogue between space, materials, and imagination.
IndoBuildTech Part 2 will also take place at the same venue, ICE BSD City, from November 6–9, 2025. It will be an ideal opportunity to experience firsthand the energy, innovation, and collaboration driving Indonesia’s creative and construction industries.
