Watch German Movies for Free at Kinofest

The Goethe-Institut has just launched a new film festival, Kinofest. The festival features 12 German films, most of which were released between 2020 and 2021. And even more exciting, you can watch these films for free. online.

Kinofest was initiated by eight Goethe-Instituts in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. Its goal is to promote German films. This year's Kinofest film selection centers on the city as its subject. Kinofest also focuses on novels presented as films, such as Fabian: Going to the Dogs by Dominik Graf. This film, set in 1930s Berlin, is based on the novel of the same name by Erich Kästner.

There are also movies Berlin Alexanderplatz by Burhan Qurbani, a film adaptation of Alfred Döblin's classic novel. The film tells the story of a refugee who arrives in Berlin with high hopes.
